Jason Goldwater Presents at the Mid-Atlantic Telehealth Resource Center (MATRC) Annual Conference (3/14- 3/16)

Session A1: Understanding Telehealth ROI for the Financially Handicapped
Telehealth is no longer a stop-gap measure for a pandemic or a fancy way to deliver care at a distance. In many health systems, telehealth in all of its forms has established itself as a viable strategic tool to achieve the organizations’ goals such as growth, recruitment, or increase in profitability. With this elevated focus, being able to calculate and demonstrate any telehealth services ROI is a crucial survival skill for telehealth administrators.

In this session, our President and COO, Jason Goldwater, shared ways to approach hard and soft ROI for various telehealth programs in both fee-for-service and value-based care systems. His objective was to empower telehealth administrators with the knowledge to calculate the ROI of telehealth services and to articulate and leverage these calculations in strategic decision-making and planning by discussing soft ROI assessments, tools, and techniques to measure ROI, ROI calculation across payment models, and strategic planning for ROI.
